TAN JOO SEET brings with him 28 years of business, management and consulting experience including 11 years as Managing Director of an international consulting and training company. He has worked in 24 countries in Asia-Pacific, Europe and North America, and consulted and trained with over 300 clients. He is a frequent speaker at professional and business conferences, and writes regularly. Over 30 of his articles have been published. He was featured in the television program Money Matters, and co-hosted the radio series Working Matters. He has the Master of Management, the Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management, and the Advanced Diploma in International Marketing; and is a Certified Business Planning Consultant and a Chartered Marketer. He is currently the Managing Director of Human Edge Consulting Pte Ltd.

In addition to his consulting experience, Joo Seet has held regional management positions in human resources, sales and marketing, business development and general management in telecommunication, aviation, manufacturing, medical systems and computers. He participated in the United Nations Development Program/International Telecommunication Union projects on the setting up of the telecommunication training center, and instructional technology and course development. He also developed and coordinated regional training for the United Nations Development Program/International Civil Aviation Organization.

 

HUA PAK CHEONG brings with him 30 years of a combination of civil service, private sector line management and human resource development experience including actual upfront training delivery. He headed Singapore's Institute of Banking & Finance as its Director in the early 1980s. Before venturing out as a training consultant, he was Area Training & Development Manager, South East Asia in Standard Chartered Bank with regional responsibilities covering training and development, management succession and career planning. He is currently the moderator of Singapore Institute of Managements Diploma in Human Resource Development, the premier training program in Singapore for developing HRD managers. As a training consultant for the last 10 years he has worked with a wide range of clients throughout South East Asia. His clients include government-linked organizations, computer software companies, manufacturing, logistics, banking and finance, and services. Apart from conducting training programs, he also provides coaching services to managers and SME business owners.

Pak Cheong is a Program Director of Human Edge Consulting Pte Ltd and a Director of Businesscraft Training Consultants Pte Ltd. He is a licensed administrator, user and interpreter of various behavioral instruments and occupational personality instruments. He is also a trained adminstrator and implementer of the assessment centre method. He has a B Sc (Econ) from the University of London and a MBA from the University of Strathclyde; and is a Certified Behaviorial Consultant.

 

PATRICK LOW KIM CHENG brings with him more than 20 years of a combination of civil service, private sector and human resource development experience including actual upfront training delivery. Before venturing out as a training consultant, he was the Senior Training Manager (Asia-Pacific), Management Development Unit in Standard Chartered Bank with regional responsibilities covering management development, negotiation and custodial services training. A Chartered Marketer of CIM (UK) and a Chartered Consultant and an Accredited Professional Consultant of the American Consultants League, Patrick has been a training consultant for the last seven years, working with a wide range of clients throughout South East Asia. His clients include government-link companies, distribution companies, computer software companies, manufacturing, logistics, banking and finance, and services. He has also taught Human Resource Management, Organisational Behaviour, Marketing and International Business for the Universities of London, Bradford (UK), Murdoch and Monash (Australia) and Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

Patrick is a Program Director of Human Edge Consulting Pte Ltd and a director of Businesscraft Training Consultants Pte Ltd. He is a holder of Masters of Business (CURTIN) and a BA (Political Science and Philosophy, NUS), and a licensed administrator, user and interpreter of the Personal Type Profiling. Patrick also holds a Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management (SIM/ SIPM) and a Graduate Diploma in Marketing (UK). Awarded the MIS/Standard Chartered Gold Medal Award 1994 for being the most outstanding graduate in the Graduate Diploma in Marketing of Financial Services, Patrick is also the author of the book, Strategic Customer Service Management: Enhancing Customer Retention and Service Recovery (one of Borders Top 10 Business Books as featured in Asian Entrepreneur). The reading public has also given good rating of his second book, The Power of Relationships. Additionally, several of his articles have been published in magazines and journals.

VICTOR NG brings with him 28 years of working experience in the manufacturing, information technology and service industry. He has more than 15 years of managerial experience and at least 5 years were in the senior managerial position. He had extensive experience in operations, sales and human resource and training functions. Through his years of experience he had build up a strong network in the market and had travel to many countries for businesses.

Victor is a Program Director of Human Edge Consulting Pte Ltd and a Director of Harvest Search and Services. He holds a Master of Business and a Bachelor in Business Administration from Royal Melbourne Institute Technology University (RMIT). He won the Outstanding QCC Managers award in 1991 from National Productivity Board. He had presented a paper on "Sustaining of Quality Circles" in the National QCC Convention in 1991. Victor is also a part time lecturer with a local commercial school and lectures for foreign universities such as Monash and Deakin Universities.

DANIEL TAN, MEd, has 20 years of experience in the HRD industry. He is presently the Director for Business Development with an employer federation, and previously an Assistant Director of Corporate Human Resources in one of the leading IT organization. He is responsible for developing, managing and reviewing a comprehensive competency framework and facilitates the identification of position competencies to support the success of the organization. Among his many appointments in the private sector, Daniel has established an impeccable reputation in helping many organizations leverage training to enhance the performance of their business units. He has also introduced many training interventions to bring about corporate changes within organizations.

Daniel has extensive experience in organizational development and change management and has played a pivotal role in transforming companies into high performing organization. He is instrumental in helping a leading brewing organization win the 1999 National Training Award (manufacturing sector) from PSB. He has developed and facilitated top class executive development programs and is an experienced practitioner in the personality profiling system. He is a Program Director with Human Edge Consulting Pte Ltd.

 

CHEW KIM WHATT is a human resources and training consultant. He holds a degree in industrial relations and a double Diploma in Human Resources and Training Development Management. He has over 30 years of experience in the manufacturing sector as a Human Resources and Training Manager. He has worked in several large multinational companies before turning into a professional consultant. Some of the companies are General Electric Consumer, Veneer Products Ltd, Ssangyong Corporation and the last 18 years, he was with FMC Corporation as their Regional Human Resources Manager. His special skills are in organization development, training and development, human resources development, selection and recruitment, career planning and counseling; safety, health and the environment management as well as benefits and compensation management.

Kim Whatt is a Program Director with Human Edge Consulting Pte Ltd. His management consulting experience encompasses a broad spectrum of commerce and industry including banking & finance, manufacturing, oil & gas, aerospace, communications, information technology, retail, health care and nutritional products. He is a strong and active supporter of grassroot organizations. Currently, he is the President of the Overseas Manpower Placement Agencies Association, Secretary of the St. John Ambulance Jurong Center and Secretary of the West United Football Club which is participating in the Division One National Football League affiliated to the FAS.
